About This Class

Our Shabad Kirtan program is a comprehensive course designed to immerse students in the sacred tradition of devotional music. Students learn to read and recite gurbani with correct pronunciation, understand the associated ragas, and perform kirtan with the harmonium and tabla. This course is suitable for all levels — from complete beginners to experienced musicians wishing to deepen their devotional practice.

Requirements

• No prior music knowledge required for beginner level
• Dedication to attend classes regularly (at least 3 days/week recommended)
• Personal harmonium or tabla preferred (rental available at the academy)
